The Tsar's Guard

I went with "The Tsar's Guard," which is the name for a group of fans for a book. 

I got most of the inspiration for it from Mary's own book. As you can see in the image below, the book is opened to where I got my inspiration for the flourishes.

It was a challenge vectorizing it, because the lines weren't smooth. I had to fix all the patches and crooked lines in Photoshop. But in the end, here's the final product!

I knew I was going for a color scheme with purple as the dominant color, because it's the color associated with royalty. I love how the coral pink just pops against the dark background, and the blue is a lovely complement to it.
