This is my first time opening After Effects on purpose! I'm very excited to learn more about this program and animation.
Right now I'm just at the point before beginning to animate. I had a bit of trouble trying to get my layers to stack properly, they imported alphabetically from what I could tell, so I had to re-stack them. I also didn't notice until I was actually doing it, but the fact that the Pre-comps were set up almost like separate tabs once clicked on really took me a minute to wrap my mind around! Now that I understand that, it makes a lot of sense.
I have animated! I took a little break yesterday with Jake's other video (as recommended) for creating a gif in After Effects. This video was awesome and spent more time explaining the basics which was so so helpful to a beginner like me.
After my little gif intermission, I was ready to get back into this project today! I won't lie, this whole thing took me hours. For me, learning this program is important so I've actually taken notes because I want to make sure that I can memorize this valuable info. I know that the more I work with it, the easier it will be! I'm just ready to be good at it now :)
Okay, here it is! The final gif!
My house was set up a little differently but I really am happy with the way it turned out! It may be a little long but that's something I can work on next time.
