Sara Getz and I have joined forces as Designs From The Attic. Here's the story of our sketch so far....

We began by brainstorming some new ideas and came up with some interesting spins, like finding correlations between average income of a region and cost of damage. 

The data for that idea was inconsistent with the way we wanted to present it, so we decided to tally up the smaller hurricanes (categories 3 and under) and count which states see the most frequest low intensity storms. Perhaps in a future iteration we will look for the cost of damage by state, as well.
