The Home Project - creating the perfect family home

Despite a career in interior design spanning 20 years, I had not tackled a renovation of my own until my husband and I purchased a renovators delight on account of our first pregnancy.

The Home Project is not a how-to book of design.  Its a book that follows my own personal journey through home renovation and the things I considered, the challenges I encountered and the results I obtained.

I plan to publish my book in around 3-6 months so I want to create a brand on-line, tapping into some potential purchasers as well as creating some content that I might want to include in the book.

I also write a regular column in our statewide newspaper on design realted issues.  My blog, which I have only just started, will mirror some of the stories published in the paper and hopefully create some feedback. This is what it looks like at the moment:

Once I have a few more posts I will share them using twitter and facebook.

I am also using pinterest to help establish and create my brand.  I plan to create additional boards here that also reflect themes in my blog.

I have a new baby, a business, husband and teenager so I have to make great use of my time.  Stay tuned for my strategy calendar.

GOAL

1. to create a credible on-line voice in the area of interior design and in particular family homes and how to combine a diverse dynamic under one roof.

2. to communicate the personality of my brand

3. create brand awareness in preparation for my book launch in 3 - 6 months
