The Dance

Jessica took my hand and led me out onto the dance floor. The music was loud and the lights were low and flickered. Her eyes sparkled. Her crimson lips were pulled into a smile. She led me through the sea of dancers. Her hand was soft and grip was firm. Her wavy brunette hair bounced as we dodged the dancers.

I pulled her into my arms and we started to move to the beat. I pulled her in close and felt her head rest against my chest. Her scent was intoxicating. My heart was pounding. I help her close. Her eyes looked up at me. I leaned in and kissed her soft lips. My hands glided over her soft dress feeling the curve of her back. Everything was perfect. The crowd around us was a blur as we moved to the music.

People screamed, the music stopped, bodies flew and headlights.
