Marc Scaturro

Graphic Designer

Here is my first lettering attempt. I've done a few fonts before but this was a lot of fun, though frustratingly tedious at times. I was commissioned by my church to come up with a design for some thank you cards and here is how it came to be. I wanted something whimsical and somewhat elegant and I tried to work in some biblical imagery without it being too "churchy." I have the foliage symbolizing the vine and the branches (I know... I didn't use a grape vine), some fruit (..of the Spirit), the water for the Living Water, and a lamb. I think they read decently as a composition, but I'm not quite sure they are successful. Thoughts?

How It Turned Out

Please let me know what you think. I'd love to hear the feedback. I know I kind of took the easy route by not replicating expansion or translation, but like I said, it's a first attempt.

Just out of curiousity, what's an acceptable timeframe for something like this?

Have a good one,
