I started the texture swatches with the intention to create ones that I would use often. It was really fun to mess around with each one, I did a lot of pulling to make fainter textures, and even tried out salt and plastic wrap techniques. It was hard, since I'm so controlled in my art, to loosen up and just broaden my horizons with the patterns
So after those, I decided that the sea would be fun for a scenery. I wanted to pick an odd animal to do, so I went with one of my favorites, a Lionfish. It was fun placing in all the textures, it made the image come alive.
Overall, this class was a blast to watch while I worked on the assignment. I enjoy Ana's explanations, and I can feel her enthusiasm through the videos. They never became boring, I was always learning. I plan on watching the other videos from her, because I know that I can take a lot of useful information from her videos. Thank you Ana for the great class!
