Sunset in Washington

Sunset in Washington - student project

I was driving back home and the sun was beautiful in the sky giving these really amazing purple tones in the sky. However, by the time I park and got my gear out the sun was gone. I was able to capture some of the beautiful palettes that the sky had regardless, and I really like the end result.

I like playing with the textures and the elements in the photo to really bring out all the elements in the landscape.

I really appreciated the advice to add people, in the shots to add life and movement, but without making them the main element of the shot, I look forward to working with that.

I still have a lot to learn about shooting the night sky and using long exposures, but this class was very useful! I feel excited and eager to keep shooting.

Here's another Washington sunset pic from a different day.

I am really enjoying seeing other student's projects, they're really cool! From all of you working on improving their skills as well, any feedback is appreciated.  Thanks!

I tried again to shoot the moon. I played with the exposure and stacked two images to get this result. I'm pretty happy with it for a first try.
