Describe your Project:

The Map
1. List all major “players” in the system (eg. a marketplace may have two major players: buyers & sellers)

a. Local people with access to Land interested in growing on it (Restaurants, churches, schools, old farms)

b. Local Growers

c. Cottage industry

d. Local Customers (Restaurants, individuals, Churches, Schools)


2. List out any selfish reasons why each player would need their contacts/friends to join the service

a. Looking to make money or add value to their property by finding grower,  looking for education on growing food

b. Sell Vegetables to make money, have status/recognition as a grower on the co-op, 

c. Sell cottage industry goods to make money, have status/recognition as  grower on the co-op.

d. Save on shopping local, have status/recognition as  locavore who shops locally, health benefits to eating organic and fresh, Economic benefits to the community shopping locally


3. List out all things you could possibly charge each player for on the service

a. Consultation service

b. 10% on every sale done through the marketplace

c. 10% on every sale done through the marketplace

d. 10% on patrons who are customers, or $25 yearly investment in company


4. For 2 and 3 above give a very short reason you think the player would be motivated to need their contact or pay for the service

a. Would like to see their property make money by growing food on it and finding local consumers.

b.&c. Motivated to sell their products to local consumers and have help distributing it through the local area. Motivated to market their farm and their products for sale. 

d. Motivated for Fresh organic food, grown locally, and affordable.

5. List the channels (email, facebook, text message, etc.) that you will send your users’ invites through and how you will get that contact data
6. Create what those invites will look like
