I love portraits that are memorable from the very first glance. I am drawn to photos that have emotion, sultrinness and a little daring creativeness doesn't hurt either that allows the subject to project some portion(s) of their personality. A good portrait does not have to include the a full face or be shot from the front of the subject. As long as the subject is Identifable then the shot can be called a portrait. Key elements would include but not required are texture and sharp focus on the eye. I prefer black and white photos but that does not mean I don't have an appreciation for the color shot.
