I was somewhat intimidated by the thought of using only vertical and horizontal node handles during digitizing, so I put it off for a while.
I went back and reviewed the video again, gathered up my courage, and decided to go for it.
The phrase I chose is something I heard used on the radio many weeks back, and it struck me as an interesting descriptive for politics in general, and occasionally, my own thought processes as well. :-)
Because of the informal phrase, I decided to use a vertical script instead of a slanted script which I usually associate with more formal ideas. Plus, I tend to use slanted scripts all time, and found doing a vertical script challenging.
I've included a couple of my practice sheets, as well as a shot of the work showing the handles. This may be old hat for some, but I'm actually surprised that I was able to accomplish this without using weird angled handles.
