ATA: The Art of Visual Storytelling

I really like the story I'm starting to see.  The way you lit up your hero really helps and the angular shapes in the dragon figure help to show that it's dangerous.  Good choice in images. I think I might do two things to start... maybe give your hero a bit more ground. and possibly start to show me some more details in the dragon phenix shape.  I know you said that you don't draw, so what I would do is go back to your original dragon shape and trace out the legs and the belly.  Let me see how all of those parts fit together.  Don't paint them in so darkly afterwards... maybe try using a collage method of different animal textures, skins, scales etc. to fill in the shapes.  Try to keep all of the shapes clear though, so I can still tell what is a leg etc. After it's all filled in I would try to shade it in again like you have done, but not so darkly. Let me see all of that hard work!  Keep in mind that you don't want your dragon to have more detail than your hero, or else your viewers eyes will be drawn only to the dragon.  I'm looking forward to seeing more!  Your off to a great start! :D

PROJECT 2 - STORYTELLING IMAGE SEQUENCE

PROJECT 1 - IMAGE
To do this image I used 2 images that I found on internet. I don't know to draw nothing So I trace both images: A dragon from Harry Potter and the other a warrior from World of Warcraft. I trace and then color them, and finally I used the light like in the lesssons.
