Sticking with my goal

Sticking with my goal - student project

After writing my list of goals, I decided that my top goal was to spend time with God each day. I always TRY to do that, but I usually end up only getting to it 3-4 days/week.

One of the most helpful parts of this course for me was the pain points section. Writing out some possible pain points and how I would deal with them was empowering. Seeing that no matter what may get in my way, I could still do this, was great. Already having a plan in place when those pain points come, as they inevitably will, prepares me for success.

Here's my plan so far:

TOP GOAL: TIME WITH GOD EACH DAY
WHAT
* Spending at least 10 minutes in prayer
* Spending at least 10 minutes doing Bible study
* Making notes in my faith planner to help me remember what I've learned

WHEN
* After breakfast (for now, while my daughter is out of school due to COVID-19) when my daughter has free time scheduled

HOW TO MAKE IT EASIER
* Cue/Trigger: When I finish breakfast
* Environment: Keeping reading room chair clean and set up for quiet time
* Environment: Light candle/aromatherapy (keep lighter & essential oils nearby)
* Reward: Use a tracker app that counts days

I downloaded the app Done (which I really appreciate the design style of!) and have set up a daily task and notifications for spending time with God. I have only used it a couple days so far, but it's working well!
