I really like how you did the light blue shadow - can you say how you did that?

Hi there! 

So I copied my text (command+c) and then I hit command+f to paste in front of the text. I asked it to move the new text to the back (right click-move-back) and then I changed the position. I clicked 1 left arrow to the left and clicked 1 up arrow to the top. That did it for me but if I wanted a more distant shadow I would keep moving them up and to the left.

Hi Ketlin, very nice start! I like that you have practiced on the grid, and worked your way from there. I really like that swash on the y in the bottom piece, very beautiful. Some small things to say would be spacing in particular areas, such in hungry, the u and n come together quite tightly and the r is a bit harder to read, only because I think you left out the where you would loop in the the r at the top. And something to think about would have similar circular flourishes or  swashes as you have the the y in stay surrounding the entire piece, forming a circular or rounded like composition, which this piece kind of has already from the swashes coming off of the second stay and also hungry, I think that might look great, because there is some open space to work with, like in between stay and hungry on the right. Keep up the awesome work! cant wait to see more!

Thx a lot Neil! I'm gonna start working on that right now :) Good timing. One last thing, should I go thinner on the curves of the letters and than thicker?! I find quite hard to figure out these little things, like where to go thinner/thick and vice versa. Thx again!

I chose the phrase "Stay Hungry Stay Foolish" from Steve Jobs. That is one of his quotes that really speaks to me and I just love it.&nbsp;
I'm still experimenting with strokes and flourishings and also with different pens. I'm having a hard time figuring out where the strokes should be thin and thick. Any help?!
The 1st pic is a rough sketch using pencil, the next I just wanted to see how it would look like in pen (without putting finishes), and the last one I'm experimenting with shadows. But everything is a bit rough still. Want some feedback before I start developing it more.
