Speech Bubbles

This class was so inspiring, I couldn't wait to get my hands on some paint to cover a whole wall! Fortunately we have some chalboard speech bubbles hanging around a poster of Mary Jane in our kitchen. They are pretty small, but will do for a start.

I'm returning to the arts after almost 10 years of barely touching a brush, so I wanted a phrase that would be inspirational.  I chose Neil Gaiman's "Make Good Art" line from his inspirational commencement speech at the University of The Arts in Philadelphia ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikAb-NYkseI ).

I sketched out a couple of ideas first:

Then got straight to work. I enjoyed it so much I wrote on a second bubble on the fly!

Looking forward to getting the chance to work on an entire wall, especially after seeing the projects that have already been posted, the lettering is amazing.
