Sookie's Butterfly

This class was fun and challenging.

I made a butterfly with my heart. I tried selecting everything for the heart and then reflecting it to make the second wing, but it didn't work.  The second wing looked like a Picasso painting that got wrapped around a telephone pole. If anyone knows why this happened when using Reflect, let me know.  I'm curious.

Instead, I had to make a copy of the heart and then rotate it.  I made a mini blob pattern brush for the spiral.  Used an oval for the body and used Direct Selection tool to push the sides in.  I used a circle for the head and merged with Pathfinder to the oval for the body.  I filled everything with a coordinating pattern.  I used lines with a misshapen stroke for the antennae.
