Silence, a poem by Eugénio de Andrade

I. Share your text.

SILENCE

When tenderness

seems tired at last of its offices

and sleep, that most uncertain vessel,

still delays,

when blue bursts from

your eyes

and searches

mine for steady seamanship,

then it is I speak to you of words

desolate, derelict,

transfixed by silence.

In the final cover I want to convey, "when blue bursts from your eyes", using a picture of a foreground calm sea and bursting with a background impactful image of a woman blue eyes, because the author searches for a "steady seamanship" in order to bring some calm to is isolation.

Presenting as well the concerns of the author about the silence, affection and uncertainty. He searches for meaning in the eyes person, because the eyes sometimes can tell us more than words, "…transfixed by silence".

Thank you to take a time to watch my project.

Any feedback is really apreciated.
