Shooting Around the World

Hi everyone!

First of all thanks Chris for this amazing packed course and showing us how you create your stunning work.

I've been following your work for quite a while and actually, these pictures I'm posting are all taken before I had the opportunity to watch this course, but all of them were very inspired and moved by your pictures. I hope you like them.

On the top of the Merapi volcano near Jogjakarta, Indonesia. We climed up at night to witness the sunrise, one of the best experiences I ever had!

The low clouds that gather around the volcano made an awesome scenary for the picture, a mountain on the horizon, my aperture very high to get the star shape of the sun and my friend on the darkness made my perfect composition. Speechless moment

Raglan is the most famous surfing town in New Zealand. Placed on the west coast of the North Islands you get amazing golden hours and skies on fire with thick and big clouds. A dream for surfing photography.

This day it was quite windy and I just spotted these two surfers going out of the beach break with a blanket of clouds on the sky and the golden hour by ourselves.

Camping on the west coast of NEw Zealand in the South Island we met 5 people from the US who were  traveling around New Zealand, opposite direction of us, we shared mussels that we caught, a bonfire and some wine. I wanted to capture the essence of that night, the stars were on fire, and I wanted to get the milkyway, but also the fire sparkling and the tent iluminated. It was a hard job and after a few attempts I was able to capture everything, just the headtorch we used on the tent was too strong. I needed to place a friend of mine in front of the fire to block direct light of the fire to get into my sensor and blow away the whole picture
