Over the past 6 months, I've been working three jobs: a full time project management job at an amazing start up, freelance social media work for an online jewelry boutique, and trying to build my photography business. Of course I was wondering why my photo business wasn't working out, and why I felt like my photos weren't up the standards I wanted. It took a bout of working with people I didn't want to work with (bad clients), not having time to do the things I wanted to do, and even getting sick (finding out I'm severely allergic to apples) to make me realize it's time to refocus.
I will constantly renew myself by focusing on:
Physical: Dancing. I've been dancing for ten years and I don't intend on ever stopping!
Emotional: Spending time with my loved ones, especially my grandparents, who are integral in raising me
Mental: Brainstorming and imagining all of the great photo and video projects I can create
Spiritual: doing yoga daily every morning (Yogaglo rocks!) and making food for my boyfriend
Today I choose to focus on creating beautiful work, seeking out exactly who I want to work with in the future, and putting all of my heart and soul into finally reaching my dream of being a photographer.
