Morgan McDonald

Hi everyone! My name is Morgan and I currently live in the Detroit area. Photography has been a hobby of mine for a few years, but these past several months I have pursued it with greater intent on crafting my skills.

The company I work for recently went on a Pewabic Campus Walking Tour at the Cranbrook Kingswood Prep School in our area. As the name implies, the tour focused a lot on the pewabic tile and pottery on the campus. While it was nice, what I was most drawn to was the architecture, detail and art throughout.

Below are a few of my favorite photos from the tour. I used VSCO, Snapseed, Photoshop Express, and then VSCO again for my editing. The first time using VSCO, I applied the A6 filter and then after my edits in Snapseed and Photoshop Express, I used M5...both times I decreased the intensity of the filter.

My goal was to have a muted, subdued feel and look, without losing details. Bringing out the texture was important for me. Hopefully, that is conveyed. There is so much to learn in photography and I will always be  working on my skills!

This was a great class, thanks Joe!
