Hey everyone! Thanks again for taking my class. Hope you found it helpful.
I started my project at the end of October so I made my list for November and December. When creating my list I thought about the days that seemed most interesting to me. I wasn't able to accomplish all the days on my list but that's ok! I still managed to complete an amount I was comfortable with and really learned a lot along the way. Before starting this project my average amount of likes on an Instagram post was around 20 but my more recent posts have been getting closer to 30-40 likes. I know those are still generally small numbers but it's an improvement for me and I'm just going to keep working at it. Anyways here is my list for November and December 2016.
Then here is my list of what motivates and inspires me. Whenever I get stuck for an idea I just refer back to this list and see if any of these interests of mine can help spark an idea.
I also have a list of skills or projects I would like to work on. This way when thinking of a way to celebrate one of the national days maybe I might do an illustration project one day and an animation another.
I wanted to share a couple of my favorite projects I've made so far.
I'm a big fan of Halloween and had to make sure I made something for it. For this piece I decided to experiment with a limited color pallet as well as repeating patterns.
I really like patch design and was feeling a bit depressed when National Ice Cream Day came around so I was inspired to make this piece.
I am very passionate about toy design and growing up the McDonald Chicken McNugget toys were my all time favorite fast food toy. So when National Fast Food Day came around I decided to pay a little homage to them by creating my own Thanksgiving themed nuggets.
Last but not least I am a big fan of parodying music and I also really like The Ramones so I thought this would be a fun little tribute to post for Thanksgiving.
