UPDATED 7/24

I loved adding color to these! Thanks Jenna for your demo on using the change color palette tool!

I used space age illustrations from the 50s and 60s as inspiration for my color palettes.

Some more variations of the atom pattern. I'm sort of liking the softness of the one that loses the outlines.

And some more variations on the universe design...

I'm really starting to like the delicacy of this last one...

After brainstorming a bunch, I settled on an idea based on the contrasting words Near/Far and Large/Small. I designed these symbols of a univers and an atom to use as my dots. I like these symbols for their similar structures, yet their physical counterparts differ in scale almost as much as it is humanly possible to imagine.

I made this second one by hand as I couldn't figure out how to make it work with the pattern swatch tool. Maybe because the step is less than half?

I hope to make some more variations soon!
