Rick Astley

Update:  I really wanted to go the olly moss route, and his words rang very true with me:

"a strong concept with poor execution will always be better than a weak concept with strong execution"

So i started thinking of a way to portray not any one rick astley show or event, or even him directly, but to think of the concept of rick rolling and to make a poster that seems very artistic, but when you analyze it closer, you realize its a poster version of "never gonna give you up"...

this is kind of a lukewarm concept, but i think its strong enough that people will get a laugh...clearly I cannot draw, so this would be the time that I either explore my stock photo options creatively or hire someone to illustrate it...or if there are any stronger ideas for the other ones, please let me know...thanks

here's a quick sketch of the idea...my concept requires that you immediatly recognize each of the "no" items.  if there's any hesitation in communication, its going to kill the final piece...im stuck on a way to "say goodbye" with a picture...was trying to do someone waving from a train, but i dont think i have the space to put it...any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

God of the 80's Rick Astley has never been immortalized in the way most appropriate to his incredible 1-2 hit song career, so I thought i would give it a try...really trying to get a good olly moss, simple design vibe, to have the poster be a one two punch (where you look at it, think a bit, then it hits you)...looking for strong concept since my art and design skills arent very strong, and again taking a page out of the olly moss bible on this one...

This was a quick sketch i put together...still needs some refinement...

quick sketch...yikes
