Retro Retiro

Hi everybody!

My collection is called Retro Retiro and it’s inspired by my surroundings. I live in a very conservative neighbourhood in Madrid with some nice old-fashioned flower shops around my house, and also next to a large park called Retiro. Retiro is magic: it has lakes, fountains, birds, squirrels, monuments and, of course, flowers, lots of them, especially roses. This collection is my valentine to Retiro, which I love dearly, and my gratitude for being able to enjoy such beauty every day. I wanted to capture the moody, retro style enchantment of the Retiro neighbourhood and share it with others.

Once again, I want to say a huge thank you to Elizabeth for all the inspiration, as well as for letting me take part in the contest with my non-vector works. I have created a few vector patterns with my new knowledge, but I'm more accustomed to drawing with watercolours, so raster is a lot simpler for me at the moment :)

And, of course, huge thanks to Skillshare! I love the resource and, of course, winning this contest would mean a lot for me.

I've put my blog link on the images because, sadly, some of my works have got stolen once in the Internet, I hope that doesn't bother you too much.

Best wishes to everybody, and looking forward to more exciting courses,

Katerina aka Plateresca
