Hi Dan, I've been working on building sets and using props as storytelling devices for my subjects.
While conventional wisdom has it that lenses on the telephoto side are most flattering for portraits I'm finding that overall the focal length I'm most happy with is either 50mm or 85mm. The 100mm tends to flatten the space and I'm not getting as much depth of field throughout the image.
First image is 50mm, second is 85mm, third is 100mm.
Would love to hear any thoughts you have on this, thanks for the class. Rich
