Rainy Day Breakfast: A Morning Worth Remembering

This beat-up, handmade, inlaid cherrywood dining table was a gift to my parents on their wedding day. It's absolutely too big for my little Northwest apartment, but spaghetti in 1996 and math homework in 2001 and sweets this morning are just a few of the ways I remember my dad, who felt that brownies + hot steamed cinnamon milk made a perfectly acceptable rainy day breakfast.
