RX When Things Get Bad

With this exercise I wanted to push my comfort zone and try using a completely different set of pens than what I'm used to, it was fun, and created interesting results. The words were drawn with a fun Pigma Graphic 3 Pen, as the drawers hand changes direction or pressure points, it creates wonderful contrast and interest. The concept is focusing on two contrasting ways to solve depression and having a hard day/week/month/etc. The story is told above a canvas made of the watermark of a prescription pad. This texture reinforces the idea of being prescrided happiness or a "quick fix". The pills play a literal role but are also used for different sense of color and texture.
