Quiet Moments

This was an interesting project.  The fact is that the whole thing was an evolution for me.  I started out with a bunch of sketches - but didn't like them, made more - rinse, repeat. My Illustrator file started getting totally overloaded, so I started ditching stuff that didn't seem to work. And color palettes. The pattern got busy, then too busy - again overload.   What I did find out is that:

1. Simplicity does NOT mean easy. Oh, well.  I know this isn't news but . . .

2. I really do like a feeling of openness in my work. That is probably important.

This is short, probably because the process of getting here wasn't.  It was a journey.

Hope you like the results.

This was the  origional - and I think I like this one best. The feeling is soft and a bit reminiscent.

This one feels a bit younger, and well - young at heart.  I like it!

Soft blues and greens with just a touch of jalapeno!

This one came out so soft it almost floats away. Like the shy girl in the corner, who knows what secrets are inside.

Hope you enjoy and looking forward to any and all feedback.
