Pull the Pear: Changing Colors

Pull the Pear: Changing Colors - student project

It's great to keep going with this method while adding new techniques.  Here are some challenges I encountered.  I had a difficult time getting the right consistency of the puddle.  Some puddles are inky while others more diluted. I learned that the darker colors tend to become opaque more easily while the yellow and greens need more pigment.  I also saw some splotchy blobs on the piece and was trying to recall why that may have happened.  Also, the shadow on the table with my mixture was opaque and I wasn't sure how to do that differently in future.  I really liked adding new pigments and the effects it made on the piece.  Practice makes progress.
