Publish the 1st edition of The LIfe and Times of Richard Musto

Updated Feb, 21st 2013

I am a writer who lives in New York City where, as they say, there are more than eight million stories waiting to be told.   Our new book tells just one of them that I happened to stumble upon right outside my front door.

That's where I first met Richard T. Musto as he was hauling a plastic cart filled with bedraggled roses.  Richard is an 88-year old man, a veteran of the Second World War, who often makes his home on the city streets.  But as I soon discovered, Richard is far from destitute.  In fact, he is one of the most remarkable and resourceful people I have ever met - selling flowers and used books from a makeshift storefront on the sidewalk to make ends meet, Richard is also a photographer, a writer and an artist, a raconteur of the city streets;  he's a paragon of willful endurance and a survival artist in his own right to the highest degree.

For the last 18 months, together with my friend, the photographer Michel Delsol, we have been documenting Richard's fascinating life story in the form of an illustrated book length poem.  We are now in the final stages of preparing a first edition of our new book -- The Life and Times of Richard Musto.  This is truly a collaborative work among the three of us -- Michel, Richard and me -- and we would greatly appreciate your support in bringing it to fruition.
