Project 01

--- UPDATE 8/23 ---

A few interesting results from playing with HShapeLayout...

--- UPDATE 8/19 ---

Got to playing around with the  HGridLayout. After rewatching the hexGrid video in Project Inspirations I was able to make a triangle grid. Here are two of the better renders. Things are finally starting to click. I went back and watched some of Shiffman's Computer Programming for Total Beginner, and it helped me find my bearings in terms of what should go where.

--- UPDATE ---

Here is an new test using the HColorPool class (it's a class right?), and a pallete created with the color picking tool...

the palette:

#EB1D51,#F95B69,#F9846F,#7B0535,#2F042F,#7E1A50,#361243,#635478,#1B2D51,#1E2147,#080734,#09133F,#092452,#083468,#0B487A,#136298,#11A2D4,#2ED3EF,#67DFF7,#B4EBFB

my source image for the vector art, an Al Held painting run through auto trace in Illustrator:

So, just ran through Step 4 (Painting to the screen). Here are two renders created with the HShape example that was provided to us. I used some of my own vectors and changed things like "HColorPool", and "size". Colors are a bit wonky, so I'm defintaley looking forward to the step 5. Otherwise, I'm pretty excicted to keep messing with this tonight. Will post more if anything interesting evolves.

A few More...
