In the beginning I had some pretty poor quality brushes, but it was good to learn what works and what doesn't. For the jellyfish, I probably got overly ambitious with the mermaid, and her hair got away from me. I probably could've used more pulse and precision in the hair, and more depth in the background. For the galaxy I had two attempts, this one being the better. At first, I sort of just used a bunch of colors and I didn't like it, so for this one I was more intentional about my color scheme. Also, I'm wondering, when you letter on a more complex background do you use negative space or masking fluid? I wasn't under the impression you use ink but I could be wrong. Well this is it. My first foray into watercolors in a very long time. I'm pretty excited about it.
