Practice Connecting things in Watercolor - Waffles

Practice Connecting things in Watercolor - Waffles - student project

Hallo Renato, Thanks for such great and helpful class!

I tried to follow your instruction with waffles as my object.

t's not easy for me and I have some questions while working in this piece, such us :

1. How to make the washes look smooth when working on detail? since you said in your video that the lesser brush wash is better in watercolor painting and I'm absolutely agree with that. But until now, I still can't accomplish that. please give me some tips or you might cover this in your next class :)

2. When the color for background and the main object's color are very different, should we also give some light wash of the background's color on our main object?

in this project I put very light blue wash on my waffles. However, can I do the same when let's say my background's color is very different with my mind object's color ? or my main object needs very light color, please explain :)

Here is step by step of my project.
