For this assignment, I spent the day walking around my neighborhood, trying to capture what it looks like, focusing on the retail corridors and homes in the area. As I get more comfortable photographing on the streets, I hope to get past my shyness and start to include more people and begin to tell more of a story. This class has taught me a lot about what good street photography can be, and I do think it has had an impact on how I shoot, even if it doesn't seem apparent here.
I have a personal website project that I'm working on with an objective to capture the feel of Portland's varied neighborhoods, so I'm fairly happy with the results I have so far. However, any advice on how to make the images more compelling would be appreciated.
