Poppies

Hi all:

I wanted t draw big poppies. I made some research and this are the first steps, though I missed photographing the first one. Here I had cut the first drawing, changed sides and taped:

Ready for second cutting:

Done:

All mixed and the central part filled with another poppie:

Finally went over the drawing with felt pen:

Now I must go for Lesson 2, but it will take a while. My idea is scanning as line art (I have a book explaining how to do that but hope Kristi also gives her advice in Lesson 2!). Then I want to delete the white background and have it transparent to be able to change background color. I will do one in black and white, but I want to change the drawing lines to white and other colors to make contrast with the background.

Kristi, if you think the design is not suited for the project, since I see it's so different from others, please tell me and I produce another more similar to the rest - smaller motifs, more filled sapce, less white background. I wish to go ahead with this one if possible, and I think of coloring poppies after having scanned them as line art, and try another idea.I'm an Interior Designer but haven't any knowledge on pattern nor graphic design, so any advice and tips on technique procedures you can do will be very welcome!  I look forward to hearing Kristi's and class mates' feedback and advice.

Until now, it's being very morivating, fun and encouraging.
Thank you all!
