Poem

Rain falls on the reservoir, but it's already too full

The cracking of the dam thunders through the town,

And everyone frantically tries to prepare themselves.

Not long after, and a flower shop is crushed under the weight of the water,

A child is lost to its mother, but her tears go unnoticed.

An auto shop runs out of parts, and it burns to the ground.

Suddenly fits of empty laughter echo through the damped air,

No one can hear me anyway.
