Pit Stop

Update 1/20/14:

Got the site built and up last week, http://pitstopnyc.com/.

The design isn't pretty and some things still aren't complete such as the contact form but I think it's a good start.

Next Steps:

  1. Improve the mobile design by adding a top toggle menu
  2. Complete the form and other details
  3. Improve design
  4. Add donation section to allow people to donate money or purchase things on amazon for our next foster dog

PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK ON WHAT OF THE SITE YOU THINK SO FAR!

About 6 months ago my girlfriend and I rescued an American Staffordshire Terrier named Cash from the Manhattan ACC the day before he was to be put down.  Cash turned out to be an amazing dog!  A giant lunk, who was goofy, mellow, and loved humans and canines alike. After taking our new foster dog home we decided the best way to promote him for adoption was via Facebook and I quickly setup a Facebook page called Pit Stop.  Pit Stop worked beautifully, allowing us to easily post photos, video, etc. about Cash and after only 5 weeks Cash was adopted by a great family with 4 boys, another dog for Cash to play with, 9 acres, and a pond to swim in...yes Cash is living the dream!

After this experience I want to continue to Foster dogs and promote them on Pit Stop.  In addition to the Facebook page I think it would be great to have a website explaining what Pit Stop is, containing a profile of the current foster, and profiles of past fosters and their adopters.  This will create one more place online where people can find and learn about our current foster dog.
