Pinwheel Stars

Pinwheel Stars - student project

I was really excited to get into the Photoshop stuff, so I didn't make the most exciting design. That said, I'm so glad to know how to do this now!

My original drawing, cut and taped before scanning...

Seamless repeat, cleaned up and at 50%...

Four colorways, which I think would have turned out better if colored beforehand and more natural...

I also had a problem trying to change the colorways by adjusting the levels, but I attribute that to my very sub-par knowledge of how to even get around Photoshop. :)

Then I had fun seeing these put into action...

I kinda dig this pattern on the dress...

Very fun class! I have to also say THANK YOU for your explanation of file types and the importance of RGB vs. CMYK (I was in RGB mode for all of these). As someone who is self-teaching myself basically everything, I now know why my early art projects printed out so crappily. Blah.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!
