Pink Vanilla Macarons - 1st attempt!!

Following the basic recipes, I created my first batch of macarons. After this first attempt, I now understand what I should do to help out with the next batch. 

Take-aways: I didn't age my egg whites, and realized that because there was quite a lot of liquid in my egg whites, they took quite a while to whip up. I also never quite got to the right consistency of the mixture. There seemed to have been some air bubbles in the macarons after baking, so I read that tapping the tray prior to resting them should help with that. 

Excited to try another batch! I should note, these tasted sooo good even though they didn't look perfect. I'll be sure to add pics of second attempt! <3
