I'm a graphic designer based out of Los Angeles, CA. As of late, I have been obsessed with learning more about hand-lettering and was excited when this class came up!
I'm a big beer fan, so creating my own label for this project was a no-brainer. There's no siginificant story behind the name. It's the name of a b-side by one of my favorite bands growing up, 311. It just sounded like a good one-word name and flowed nicely since there's only one syllable per word. I took it upon myself to combine the two words to create a unique one.
Below is my moodboard.
Lately, I have been inspired by script typography and wanted to incorporate that style into the label. I have mainly been playing with the letters "k" and "s" to create some variation/distinction. I'm still going back and forth between a script "s" or sans-serif.
As you can see, my sketches are very similar. I'm not sure if I want to have a slanted logotype or vertical.
This is what I have so far. Any feedback would be very helpful and appreciated.
