Philco Boomerang Radio

Philco Boomerang Radio - student project

This project was quite fun because you literally can use anything and everything that can write on a surface and you'd just be surprised at the textures it can create with the magic of the image trace tool! I was too excited to get going with the project because I love love looooooove textures!!! Just makes everything look more organic. So for this project, I used your regular watercolor paper and some brush pens, sharpies, colored pencils and some different weights of pencils that I have lying around - and here's what I came up with

Once I placed it into Illustrator and played around with the image tracing tool, I ended up with these vectorized brushes.

And I chose a cute little Philco Boomerang Radio because it reminded me so much of The Jetsons and I created Judy Jetson if she were a radio!

Lesson learned is that there is no limit to what you can create with textures and you'd be surprised what regular, daily products in your house can create the coolest textures on pad!

Thanks to @JamieBartlett for making this super helpful project super fun!!!
