Peter Pan & Wendy

Peter Pan & Wendy - student project

Hi there!

This is a great introductory class to procreate, but it's not only that; it's also a very interesting look into a unique artist's art-making process.  I've really enjoyed it and learned a lot of useful tips and tricks.

I've really struggled with this project. I wanted to try Jarom Vogel's method of doing art, which is very different from what I usually do. It kind of forced me to be more meticulous and cleaner, which was good. It also made me try lineless art, which I've been meaning to do for so long. I have to say I'm not a big fan of the selection tool for drawing (everything just turns so wonky!). I've been using the eraser tool a lot to clean some shapes.

It was also very difficult for me to come up with dynamic poses. I decided to draw these characters because I saw a live-action Peter Pan movie that I used to watch as a kid a couple of days and I loved it. Anyway, I'm really happy with how the poses turned out, even though I know they're far from perfect.

So here is the complete drawing, plus the thumbnails and the rough sketch.

I hope you like them! :)
