UPDATE

So i didn't get to put anywhere as much time into this as I would have liked, but wanted to post what i've got so far! I'm hoping to keep working on these and developing them further when I get a chance. I do like the direction i'm going with the colors so far, though I really want to do alot more experimenting with shapes for these and the other icons i'm working on.

So I've been fortunate enough to visit the Peruvian rainforest and see some pretty spectacular things (people like to talk about the plethora of wildlife and the breathtaking geography, but this is the real hidden gem of Peru). It's one of the most incredible places on earth, and my time there has left me convinced that it's an experience everyone should have! For those who don't want to make the trip, however, this icon set will have to do.

The occupants of the rainforest (human and animals alike) are so colorful and visually interesting, and i'm excited to do some experimenting for this project. I like working with bright, crisp colors, and I definitely tend to jump into the texturing stage pretty quickly so I'm hoping to get better at letting the shapes themselves do the talking, haha.
