Perfect Pop-Ups 1: Creating a Fun and Easy 90° Pop-Up Centered in a Card

Greeting cards are fun tangible ways to let someone know you are thinking of them, and pop-up cards make these greetings even more fun and memorable. This class is for anyone who wants to learn to make a simple 90° pop-up centered on a card. It will cover how to make both symmetrical and asymmetrical shapes pop up using the simplest means possible. This class is a great place to start for anyone who wants to learn the techniques of designing pop-ups, and it is also perfect for anyone wanting to make an easy but fun card for someone.

Design two centered 90° pop-up cards for a special occasion using the techniques explained in the lesson. One should be made using a symmetrical shape that is drawn and cut from the back of the card center. The other card should be made using a drawing of something asymmetrical, a printed image, or a printed silhouette template to create an asymmetrical shape.
