People who love to eat are always the best people. - Julia Child

Here's where I went with this project. Now that I'm looking at it, I wonder if the "ALWAYS" type fits in.

I just love this quote, and I think Julia Child is one of those icons that everyone would love to share a meal with. I'm not exactly where I'm going with the layout on this, but I really appreciate the exercises and steps in this class and how they'll help me get to the end result.

I thought it would be fun to explore vintage French labels, posters, lettering, etc. for this project. I'm not an ornate person, myself, and I design very simply, so maybe I'll step out of the box a little here.

Initially, I thought of going the vintage French lettering route, but after drawing up a thumbnail of a dinner plate with lettering, I looked up some 60s food advertisements (the 70s were terribly uninspiring) for more ideas.

Plate or banner approach?
