Peas & Carrots

Peas & Carrots - student project

Wow. Firstly, let me just start with how challenging this class was, in all the good ways. I learned a lot about using Adobe Illustrator and taking a vision to completion. This took a LONG time for me, but the reward has been worth it. I decided to post just my final project, as there have been many iterations, and I find myself wanting to create an endless amount of coordinating neutrals. So in the interest of feedback and moving on to more classes, I'm posting here.

Second, to the final project. Let me start with saying that there are some colorways in this group I like more than others. I found the repel/attract exercise brought out the best, whereas my initial color ways (Spring Greens, Rainbow Fest, and Berry Harvest), seem to not be as strong, although I kept them in since there was some effort to it all, and who knows, I've been staring at these for so long, I may not be able to have a good mind set on this.

The color theory, color mixing, and additional resources, including the demos have been invaluable. I know it's just an introductory, but I totally could mix colors all day. I'm so glad there are others like me out there!! ;)

I understand the class is long over since the awesome Jenna Frye uploaded, but I'm absolutely grateful for her class and any feedback I could receive here or in a PM. I hope that I can continue to learn about surface pattern design in the future. Thank you, Jenna!
