I started out creating my images with a mixture of watercolor and dip pen and just working in black and white. I then brought the scanned image into Illustrator using the 6 color live trace option and picked out colors for the pears in Illustrator. I did a bit more playing with colors in the individual motifs. This feels quite a bit different from my usual designs, but I'm intrigued to do more.
