Pear Princess

Pear Princess - student project

I was pleasantly surprised by this class and by the outcome of my own experiment. I must admit in the beginning I thought it would be too loose without a plan, that will never work for me. But the opposite happened.

I am used to using lots of layers, so using only two scared me a bit as well.

I started with a pear shape, since that was what was in front of me. I added an undefined shape and turned it around until I saw I could make a bird out of it. From there I could build step by step, bird legs turned into stairs and the bird tail into a leg. All by itself, it seemed. I would have never come up with this image if I had to make it up in my head first. What it depicts doesn't make much sense, but that's beside the point, right?

I like how it turned out and I will try to let things play out on paper a bit more instead of trying to plan everything.

Thank you for this class, I highly recommend!
