Paper cutting cards

Paper cutting cards - student project

I love creating along Liz's classes during weekends. And I realize the more I use digital tools, the more I'm attracted to doing that with analog media. Here're two designs inspired by this class:

1. Space Odyssey

What I love the most about paper cutting is the sense of depth it can give when different pieces stack on top of each other. This reminds me of the feeling when we look up and see different shades of clouds or step into a jungle with layers of flora and fauna.

2. Mandala in Procreate

So I've tried out the Mandala Kit app but I couldn't navigate it good enough and I miss some intricate pieces in a mandala. In the end I opt for creating one with symmetry in Procreate.

I'll continue exploring the layering options. Thanks Liz for the inspiration once again!
