This is my first try ever doing embroidery and I can say that I enjoyed it! 

I decided to use a picture that I took a year ago in a monarch sanctuary in Mexico for my inspiration. There weren't too many colors to try and do gradients but the different textures of the stitches made it interesting.

I used the word Papalotl that in Nahuatl means butterfly.
